Our very own Dr. of Chiropractic Hiro, at the World Championships!
We’re incredibly proud to share that our very own Doctor of Chiropractic Hiro, recently had the fantastic opportunity to work at the IFAF Flag Football World Championships 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
From 11th–16th August, Hiro joined the medical team as an IAFA/FICS Doctor and Official Sports Chiropractor, providing care and support to athletes competing at the highest level of international flag football. Hiro worked alongside athletes and medical teams from across the world, providing hands-on care and support throughout the championships.
During the tournament, he had the opportunity to work with teams including Slovenia, American Samoa, Israel, USA and Great Britain, as well as working alongside some fantastic athletes, coaches and members of the wider sporting community.
Among those Hiro had the opportunity to work with were Vincent Papale, Tyler Davis and the Great Britain coaching team, along with many other players and sporting professionals from around the world.
What does an official Sports Chiropractor do?
Being part of a major international sporting event means working alongside athletes and the wider medical team to help keep competitors performing at their best and, where possible, support their recovery throughout the tournament.
Hiro’s role included providing a range of hands-on and practical sports care, including:
· Spinal manipulation and chiropractic care
· Soft tissue therapy
· Sports taping, including White Tape, Rock Tape and Dynamic Tape
· Ice and recovery support
· First aid and Supporting concussion protocols
Working in this kind of high-performance environment gives Hiro the opportunity to bring his clinical skills and experience into the world of elite sport, helping athletes manage the physical demands of competing at an international level.
We’re incredibly proud of Hiro for representing The Spinal Health Clinic on an international stage and for being part of such a fantastic sporting event.
It’s also a great reflection of what we’re passionate about here at the clinic, helping people move well, perform at their best and staying active doing the things they love, whether that’s international competition or simply enjoying an active everyday life.
